Game Trail

3 most awesome game series original stuff - The Orange Box - Half Life 2 / Episode 1 / Episode 2, Call of Duy 4 - Modern Warfare, Bioshock 2

These are the few games i actually purchased, licensed stuff. But sometimes with a licensed package comes a big headache. Lets see the number of steps it took to install each of the above games.

Call of Duty 4:
1. Insert the DVD
2. Execute Installer
3. Play the Game
Time taken - Approx. 30 minutes

BioShock:
1. Insert the DVD
2. Execute Installer
3. Play the Game
Time taken - Approx. 30 minutes

The Orange Box: Half-Life 2 Series
1. Insert the DVD
2. Install Steam.
3. Execute Steam, it says some steam dll is missing.
4. You realize its necessary to connect to the internet.
5. Connect the internet. It finally works. Steam Installed.
6. Authentication of game requires active Steam account.
7. Create account on SteamCommunity.
8. Game activated.
6. You install the game. it taks a hell lot of time to get updates from Steam.
7. Execute the game, realize it again requires internet connection.
8. Connect internet.
9. Finally play the game.
Time taken - 2 days [updates and all]

But anyways its worth playing these games. Used to play HL-2 on my laptop once and it ran seamlessly on my Intel Extreme Graphics 2 GPU with a lil' compromise on quality (i'd rather say too much compromise). But now the game looks as good as real on my Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT. I'll leave you with an in-game screenshot of the Citadel in City 17 (Half-Life 2).
